The Preschool 5 students had a wonderful field trip to Souq Waqif.
The children enjoyed exploring and observing the culture of Qatar there as part of our unit of inquiry ‘Cultures and Traditions’.

The children in Preschool 5 did an excellent job as responsible citizens on their field trip to Al Wakrah beach. The children collected a lot of trash and plastic waste and made a fantastic contribution towards cleaning the beach and protecting the marine life in Qatar.
Many thanks to the parents who also volunteered to help clean the beach!
The Preschool 5 children had a Teddy Bear’s Picnic yesterday as part of our PYP Book Week celebrations.
We all brought our favourite stuffed toy to school, along with our favourite book and practiced reading to our teddy bears and to our friends.
We had a lovely afternoon.
Preschool 5 had a fantastic morning at Maths and Science Day today.
We learned new things and had a lot of fun!

Preschool 5 had a wonderful time visiting Souq Waqif as a provocation for our new unit of inquiry.
We will be learning about ‘Cultures and Traditions’ and we were inspired to begin exploring and asking questions by observing the Qatari culture around us at the souq.
We saw the camels, the falcons, the horses, we visited the Fanar and we saw the traditional clothes and artefacts on sale at the Souq.
We especially enjoyed our trip on the ‘rainbow bus’! 🙂
