This past week, we introduced the students to Kelso’s Choices. We are teaching them to become empowered and confident (one of our attitudes) in themselves to solve their own small problems. A wheel of choices should have gone home with the students. Please go over it with them at home and have them practice making their own choices to resolve issues. Some of them have already been using the different choices at school. Great job, Preschool 5! Stella was telling me all about this when she bought her wheel home today. She was able to give us examples of little problems that she could solve herself and also explain when she would need to get an adult involved. I love that you are promoting independence in the little ones! Thanks Pre 5 teachers 🙂
I’m delighted to hear that Stella could give examples and explain the difference between big problems and little problems. I have been noticing how Stella has been using Kelso’s Choices at recess to solve little problems with her friends. Well done Stella! 🙂
