The children in Preschool 5 had a wonderful time celebrating Art’s Week.
We began the week by attending a song and dance performance in our school auditorium called ‘When I Grow Up’. We had a lot of fun.
Throughout the week we had a special focus on the arts with special arts based activities being included in our schedule. We included lots of songs, dance and art in our lessons, and even had the chance to join in with dance lessons on the stage during our lunch times.
Preschool 5a learned all about the famous artist Claude Monet, and Preschool 5b learned about the artist Robert Delaunay. We collaborated with our classmates to create a piece of art to reflect what we had learned about these artists.
To complete the week we were so excited to have our parents come into school to watch our dance performance and to complete our art mosaics with us. Thank you to all parents for your support. We had a fantastic week!
