Preschool 5 have completed their second unit of inquiry – Communities. The students have been working hard inquiring into the various professions within a community. We used books, interviews, guest speakers, videos, and a field trip to learn about the roles and responsibilities of members in our community.

Each child chose one profession which they would like to focus on learning more about. We  worked in small groups to help each other with research and creating a character of our chosen profession. We then presented each character to our classmates, demonstrating the roles and responsibilities of our chosen profession.

In Preschool 5a we created a pilot, a firefighter, a doctor, a vet, a police officer and a lawyer . In preschool 5 b we created a vet, a chef, a farmer and a police officer.
